Mesquite Metro Airport (KHQZ) is a city-owned airport located about three miles east of Mesquite and provides a convenient private-aviation alternative for the eastern side of the Dallas area. The airport is towered during published hours and supports business, corporate, training, and general aviation activity.
Runway 18/36 measures 6,000 feet by 100 feet with a concrete surface. The airport provides GPS/LPV approaches, AWOS weather reporting, Jet-A and 100LL fuel, maintenance on the field, and a modern passenger terminal.
The runway comfortably exceeds Air Direct's 5,000-foot guideline for considering Citation Excel operations. As with every trip, actual performance is evaluated for aircraft weight, weather, runway condition, obstacles, and the operating conditions applicable to that flight.
The Mesquite Metro Airport FBO is operated by the City of Mesquite and offers NATA Safety 1st-trained line service, full-service Jet-A, quick turns, overnight hangar availability, and after-hours service by request.
The passenger terminal includes a lounge, executive conference room, free Wi-Fi, pilot rest area and shower, crew cars, rental-car coordination, catering delivery, ground power, and lavatory service—useful support for both passengers and crews.
Air Direct has operated under FAA Part 135 since 2002 and is based at Cox Field (KPRX) in Paris, Texas, approximately a 20-minute flight from KHQZ under typical conditions. That makes Mesquite a practical part of our regional charter service area.
When you book with Air Direct, you are working directly with the air carrier operating your flight. We own and operate Citation Excel N560AD, provide our own qualified flight crews, and manage your trip from the initial quote through completion of the flight.
Midsize comfort, useful capability, and complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi.
N560AD offers a spacious midsize cabin with seating for up to nine passengers, a private aft lavatory, fold-out work tables, passenger power outlets, and room to stand and move about during flight.
The Citation Excel's large external baggage compartment makes N560AD well suited for business luggage, family trips, golf equipment, ski gear, and other trips where baggage capacity matters.
Complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi lets you stay connected for work, communication, or entertainment while you travel.
Mesquite is officially recognized as the Rodeo Capital of Texas and is closely associated with the long-running Mesquite Championship Rodeo. At the same time, its location immediately east of Dallas places it inside one of the country's largest business and transportation markets.
The city has a substantial manufacturing, distribution, retail, and logistics base, with major employers including Ashley Furniture, PepsiCo, FedEx Ground, UPS, and others. For business travelers working on the east side of Dallas, KHQZ can put the aircraft much closer to the actual meeting or facility than a larger airline airport.
Private travel built around Mesquite and your schedule.
KHQZ gives private travelers direct access to Mesquite and the east side of the Dallas area while avoiding the passenger-terminal environment of the major airline airports.
A 6,000-foot concrete runway, tower, LPV approaches, Jet-A, maintenance, and a well-equipped city FBO make KHQZ a practical Citation Excel destination.
Choose when you want to leave and when you want to return. Your itinerary is built around the trip you need to make—not a published airline schedule.

Citation Excel N560AD is well suited for both regional and cross-country travel, with nonstop capability depending on passenger load, baggage, winds, weather, airport conditions, and required fuel reserves.
