Air Direct regularly provides private jet charter service from Greenville Municipal Airport – Majors Field (KGVT). Our Citation Excel, N560AD, is based nearby at Cox Field (KPRX) in Paris, Texas—roughly a 15-minute flight from Greenville—making KGVT a practical part of the Northeast Texas region we regularly serve.
Fly directly with an FAA Part 135 operator aboard a spacious midsize jet with a professional two-pilot crew, generous baggage capacity, a private lavatory, and complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi. Your trip starts in Greenville and follows your itinerary—not an airline schedule.

Majors Airport sits southeast of Greenville near I-30 and has served the community since World War II. The field traces its history to an Army Air Forces training base opened during the war and was named in honor of Lt. Truett Majors, the first Hunt County pilot killed in action during World War II.
Today, Runway 17/35 measures 8,030 feet by 150 feet. KGVT is towered, has an AWOS, published instrument procedures including ILS and RNAV approaches, and substantial ramp and support infrastructure for corporate and general aviation. The City of Greenville describes the field as a more-than-1,500-acre airport with a 30,000-square-foot lighted general-aviation ramp and full-service Jet-A and 100LL fueling.
For N560AD, that runway length provides considerably more pavement than Air Direct's 5,000-foot runway guideline for considering Citation Excel charter operations. As always, actual takeoff and landing performance is evaluated for aircraft weight, weather, runway condition, obstacles, and the other operating factors applicable to the flight.
Greenville Aviation serves as the FBO at Majors Field. The city-operated facility provides full-service Jet-A and 100LL, aircraft parking and tie-downs, courtesy cars, internet access, a pilot lounge and shower, flight planning and computerized weather, a conference room, and other support for visiting aircraft and crews.
Majors Field is easy to reach from Greenville and the surrounding Hunt County business corridor, with the airport located just off I-30 via FM 1570. For charter passengers, that means a straightforward local departure without first driving deeper into the Dallas-area airport system.
The airport's combination of a long runway, tower services, instrument approaches, full-service fuel, and a city FBO makes KGVT especially well suited to business-aviation activity.

Greenville is the county seat of Hunt County and sits along I-30 northeast of Dallas at the crossroads of several major highways. The community grew from its agricultural and cotton roots into a regional center for aerospace, defense, manufacturing, healthcare, and distribution.
Downtown Greenville brings together the historic 1929 Hunt County Courthouse, the Greenville Municipal Auditorium, Texan Theater, restaurants, shops, and a growing public-art program of murals and sculpture. The Downtown Art Walk reflects the city's cotton history and local culture, while the historic downtown preserves a number of significant buildings and landmarks.
Greenville is also home to the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum, tying together two important parts of the area's identity: one of America's most decorated combat soldiers and the cotton industry that once shaped Greenville's economy and reputation.
Aviation at Majors Field did not end with World War II. The airport became a center for aircraft modification and aerospace work after the war, and today L3Harris maintains a major Greenville operation on the field. The company's presence makes aerospace and defense one of the defining industries of the Greenville economy.
That aviation identity is visible on the ramp and in the traffic using the field. Large military and special-mission aircraft are regularly associated with modification and flight-test work at Greenville, giving Majors Field a character unlike most municipal airports in the region.

For Hunt County businesses and residents, the time saved can begin before the airplane ever takes off.
